The airport has launched a five-year plan to support employees with mobile computers using the ClickAirport Activity Manager. The use of the ClickAirport Activity manager and associated services is part of a strategy to roll out mobile computing facilities to front-line duties across the airport. The programme will benefit from a single platform to configure and manage the mobile services and ‘common use' IT Infrastructure.
The system has already been in use for a year to support the control of wildlife hazards out on the airfield. Andy Harrison, Operations Director, said: "London Luton wants to use the Clickairport implementation as a model for future deployments of new technology" Clickairport Managing Director Richard Atkinson added "Airports have a high proportion of mobile staff who work across very large sites. ClickAirport is delighted that our services are being reecognised as the proven solution for supporting their broad range of duties.
