Much as we don't think the tag 'As seen on TV...' will add much to the desirability of ClickAirport systems, we encourage all those with an interest in airfield management to arrange to see the Tuesday, 17th February 2004 broadcast of 'Bristol Airport' on the UK's ITV West region.
This episode was part of an HTV series about the day-to-day workings of Bristol International Airport, focusing on the people who work there. 'Bristol Airport' meets some of the 2,000 staff and takes a look at the many and varied jobs and organisations that help make up a modern international airport.
With almost four million passengers a year using the airport and an average of 11,000 people passing through the doors each day, the business is one of the largest in North Somerset and contributes £40 million to the economy annually.
Particularly of interest to Airfield Operations teams was the filming of Jim Callaway, a member of the Safety and Security team, who demonstrated various aspects of their Wildlife control programme and is supported in his duties by technologies such as Scarecrow's Premier and the ClickAirport system. In the programme maker's description of the 17th February episode, 'Jim battles with the birds that could cause a major accident.'
