Activity Manager is a managed service from ClickAirport. All the system operation, software & hardware is installed & maintained by ClickAirport, leaving users free to concentrate on using the system to maximise operational effectiveness.

The service is web-based. This means any authorised user with access to the internet can access the system from any web connection, & carry out whatever tasks he or she is entitled to undertake.

Users of the management console can action any data input, diary management, or incident investigation wherever it suits them best. Reports can be generated & printed anywhere with internet access. This provides huge benefits in mobility & system access.

Field staff operating away from web access will use rugged, industrial strength hand held devices, designed to cope with the worst of weather & the hostility of an airfield environment. Their activities will be detailed in the handheld, which may also include guidance on operational issues, & specific rostering instructions.

Staff log on & call up any operational briefings, and task lists. These task lists are normally structured multiple choice questions, which gives a consistent approach to any situation, for all field staff. Many replies are simplified to Yes/No/option choice, entered from a touch screen. Other replies may need input of alphanumeric data from a displayed keypad. Free text may also be entered for many tasks, & this may be expanded on return to base with access to conventional keyboards.

This consistent task structure is ideal when regulatory authorities require specific actions in safety & security situations. What's been good enough for pre-flight checks for seven decades works well for the rest of us! The structure provides the detailed audit trail vital for incident investigation & compliance checking.

Task information entered on hand-held devices can be uploaded to the central database on any time. Handhelds are plugged into a cradle at any internet access point, & all relevant information is automatically transferred into the central database. It is then immediately available to all authorised users.
